Michael Barry is a Senior Project Manager in B&D’s Washington, DC office with over 11 years of project management experience across a variety of markets including Higher Education, Athletic Facilities, Residential Housing, K-12, Land Development, Light Industrial, and Utility Infrastructure. As a licensed Professional Engineer and Certified Construction Manager, Michael has a strong technical background in both design and construction while providing Level 5 Leadership to his projects and clients. Michael has a proven track record of superior project management skills in scheduling, cost management, contract and change order negotiation, quality management, communications, team building and strategic planning.
Michael is currently serving as Senior Project Manager and strategic advisor to the University of Delaware’s Planning and Project Delivery Department. In this role, Michael represents the owner and manages the client’s responsibilities on large scale projects through planning, programming, consultant selection, stakeholder engagement, design oversight, procurement, construction management, FF&E management, building system commissioning, and project close out. Prior to joining B&D, Michael managed capital construction projects across several campuses in the University System of Maryland and served as a Development Manager for a light industrial real estate developer. He has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Master of Science in Project Management from the University of Maryland.
