Evelyn serves as an editor for B&D. Her role includes proofreading and editing documents before they are sent to clients. She ensures that documents reflect a high standard by being clear, succinct and without error. She also works with project staff to cultivate high quality writing skills.
A native of Scotland, Evelyn has taught English to all levels of education across the globe. She earned her Diploma in primary education from Moray House College in Edinburgh, and, later, a Master of Guidance and Counseling and Doctor of Education in Higher and Adult Education Administration at the University of Memphis.
In her career in higher education, Evelyn has held the following titles: Dean of Women, Dean of Students, Registrar, Director of Financial Aid, Vice President for Student Life, and Vice President of Mission and Identity. While most of her career was spent at Christian Brothers University in Memphis, her work as an administrator also took her to Trinity College in D.C., and Memphis Theological Seminary. Evelyn comes to Brailsford and Dunlavey in a part-time position as Editor, and she is enjoying the atmosphere, the philosophy, and the scope of the work involved. Now, as an American citizen, she is happy to relate that she has conquered American English and spelling, so her editing should be understood!
